Biography
Gareth Bale is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a winger for Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur and the Wales national team. Bale began his professional career in 2006 playing for Southampton as a left-back. Bale moved to Tottenham Hotspur in 2007 where he was transformed into an attacking player. In 2013, Bale was transferred to Real Madrid where he has helped them win numerous trophies. He is currently on loan playing for Tottenham Hotspur once more.
Bale has represented Wales at under-17, under-19, and under-21 level. He made his senior debut for Wales in May 2006, becoming the youngest player at that point, at the age of 16, to represent the nation. He has appeared for Wales 87 times and scored 33 goals, making him Wales’ highest scorer of all time.
