Team Highlights
The national soccer team of Austria will compete in Group C against the Netherlands, North Macedonia and Ukraine at this year’s UEFA European Championship 2020. The Austrians finished the qualifiers in second place behind Poland and ahead of North Macedonia, Slovenia, Israel and Latvia.
The Austrians are coached by Franco Foda, who is supported by Thomas Kristl and Imre Szabics. Julian Baumgartliner,is the team captain, who is currently under contract with Bayer Leverkusen.
Andreas Herzog is a record international player with 103 appearances and Toni Polster scored the most goals (44 goals) for Austria.

The group stage matches of Austria look like this:
- Sunday June 13th 2021 at 5:00 p.m. against North Macedonia in the National Arena, Bucharest
- Thursday 17th June 2021 at 8:00 p.m. against Netherlands at the Johan Cruyff Arena, Amsterdam
- Monday, June 21, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. against Ukraine in the National Arena, Bucharest
Should the Austrians win group C, they would compete as group winners on Sunday, June 27th, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. in the Puskas Arena, Budapest against the third placed team from D / E / F.
If Austria finishes second in the group, the team will have to play against the winner of Group A at Wembley Stadium, London on Saturday 26 June 2021 at 8:00 p.m.
As one of the best third placed teams they would either have to play against the winner of Group F on Monday, June 28th, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. in Bucharest or on Tuesday, June 29th at 8:00 p.m. in Glasgow, Hampden Park against the winner of group E.
