Team Highlights
The national soccer team of Ukraine will play in Group C against the Netherlands, North Macedonia and Austria at this year’s UEFA European Championship 2020. During the qualifiers , the Ukrainians finished top of Group B ahead of Portugal, Serbia, Luxembourg and Lithuania.
Ukraine has been coached by former world-class striker Andrij Shevchenko since 2016. Juri Kalytvynzev is the assistant coach and Andrij Pjatov is the team captain. The former Bayern player Anatolij Tymotschtschuk is the record national player with 144 appearances.
Current coach Andrij Shevschenko scored 48 goals in his career and tops the scorers list.

The group stage matches of Ukraine look like this:
- Sunday 13 June 2021 at 8:00 p.m. against Netherlands at the Johan Cruyff Arena, Amsterdam
- Thursday June 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. against North Macedonia in the National Arena, Bucharest
- Monday, June 21, 2021 at 5 p.m. against Austria in the National Arena, Bucharest
Should the Ukrainians win group C, they would compete as group winners on Sunday, June 27th, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. in the Puskas Arena, Budapest against the group third from D / E / F.
If Ukraine finish second in the group, the team will have to play against the Group A winner on Saturday 26 June 2021 at 8:00 p.m. at Wembley Stadium, London.
As one of the best third placed teams they would either have to play against the winner of Group F on Monday, June 28th, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. in Bucharest or on Tuesday, June 29th at 8:00 p.m. in Glasgow, Hampden Park against the winner of group E.

Despite the group victory during the qualifiers coming ahead of Portugal, Ukraine are not a massive favourite. They have a lot of work to do to make it out of their group. They are currently at 66/1 to win.
